The LION's 2012-2013 Executive Officers

El Presidente and General Manager

-Frank Cannella

Francis R. Cannella III aka: FranktheTank aka: The Janitor aka: Father Fran aka: etc... is a Super Senior at Penn State majoring in Telecommunications and taking a Philosophy minor. Frank is the former Director of Engineering Operations and the 2011-2012 Vice President of Operations. He is currently the 2012-2013 President and General Manager for The LION. Frank grew up, like many listening to his parents' music and enjoys many different musical genres. His favorite band is and always will be U2 but that's ok, he asks that you "take that fact with a grain of salt." His heroes include: Salvador Dali, Sean Connery, Bob Ross, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Chef Gordon Ramsay and his darling grandmother. Frank hopes to one day be a part of the communications industry and also teach Philosophy. 

Vice President of Operations

-Dan Balton

Sophomore going on Super Senior, Dan Balton aka: Hef aka: DJ Alta is majoring in film & video/marketing. Dan loves playing and finding new music, bringing it to the students, and working with the most eclectic collection of folks at Penn State. He has met George W. Bush, Joe Biden, Elmo and has worked in the White House twice. He prefers, Dave Matthews Band for alternative rock. The Roots for hip hop and soul. They Might Be Giants for eclectic, thought-provoking folk. Justice & Daft Punk for electronica. Flight of the Conchords for comedy. And the Knot Sew Gewds for everything in between.

Vice President of Station Programming

-Steve Valenti

Steve Valenti aka: Nacho! is a Sophomore at Penn State majoring in Crime, Law & Justice and will eventually attend law school at Penn State's Dickinson School of Law. Steve is the the Vice President of Programming for The LION 90.7 FM for the second year in a row.  Steve has had a tremendous amount of professional experience in announcing, management, technology, web-development and other industries. Steve's biggest goal is to update and rework the station's entire music catalog and programs. He brings vigor to the station we have not seen in years.

Director of Finance

-Anna Coady

Senior Anna Coady aka: DJ Gemma is majoring in public relations and is taking a French minor. Anna loves going to concerts and seeing live music. She has never been to Disney World and has a really good sense of smell. Anna has 35 first cousins! And she claims to be ... "not very interesting." Her favorite genre of music is Indie and her favorite band is Minus the Bear.
