With Phish taking some time off, Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon have reengaged their side projects. Mike returns with the same five-piece lineup, including longtime collaborator Scott Murawski on guitar, Vermonters Craig Myers on percussion and Tom Cleary on keyboards and Brooklyn drummer Todd Isler.[1]
Mike’s previous three tours were a great success and I expect nothing less from this tour. With the Jam band world in excitement over Phish’s return, I would expect to see many die hard Phish fans out at the show. Last Friday night, which was the first night of the new tour, at Revolution Hall in Troy, Ny was a sold out show. Some internet rumors, after looking at the set list, indicate that the show was good.
My advice, check out some of the new stuff that’s been released by Gordon on his website (or at the bottom of the page) and come on down to Ram’s Head Live on Tuesday to check out Mike Gordon.
